Your special day at Cloughjordan House
Cloughjordan House is the family home of Peter & Sarah Baker, set back from a tree lined country road, the 400 year old house sits within the beautiful setting of eight acres of sweeping lawn, ancient trees and a victorian walled garden
As you enter the wrought-iron gates, the great trees from the historic Hodgin’s Arboretum and nursery gardens frame the French style manor. A 17th century ballroom stands at the west wing of the house, the focal point of which is a large open fireplace.
The ballroom comes to life in the evening in the romantic, dancing, open wood fire and candle light. A perfectly charming space for an intimate Country House Wedding, the House is now available for private wedding functions up to a maximum of 130 guests. The house become your space for you and your guests for the duration of your wedding.
We have a really unique wedding venue for a smaller celebration, we create an exclusive event for each couple so no two weddings are ever the same at Cloughjordan House. Our style is chic and informal, and can be custom designed to convey your unique personality. We provide the option of a less formal dinner party style of service.
Our Passion is Food…
We grow lots of fresh fruit and vegetables in our walled garden, and what the garden doesn't provide, we source from artisan producers and local farmers.
In preparing our menu, we use what's in season, letting the ingredients shine, with simple complementing flavours.
Your wedding banquet is presented in large colourful platters on long familial tables, for guests to pass around and help themselves.
Wood Fired BBQ
For a more outdoor wedding we have a covered barbeque area with woodfires where we can slow cook pig or lamb under twinkley lights.
