A Visit to our Garden - Summer Update
Everyone knows food is at the heart of everything we do here at CJH so it comes as no surprise that we take great pride in our ever expanding garden.
It's a busy time in the garden right now; our apples are beginning to ripen, our peas and beans are starting to flower and our squashes are coming along nicely in the polytunnels.
Filled with flowers, fruit and vegetables we love the fact that we can simply walk to the garden and choose the freshest ingredients for our guests to enjoy.
Whether its raspberries for our lemon, raspberry and almond tart or some fresh flowers for the tables we have such amazing produce. Who doesn't love homegrown cucumber in their G&T?
We even have our very own Kalettes! This brand new vegetable combines the best flavours of brussel sprouts and kale. Look at that vibrant purple colour, its almost too good to eat...almost!
As for flowers we have an amazing selection from Marigolds to Sweet Peas, Centaurea to Zinnia. We supply handpicked fresh garden flowers for all the tables in our marquee on wedding day's, so it's important for us to have a wide variety.
Each season brings new treasures to the garden and our gardener Briain is always coming up with new ideas. There is an incredible synergy between his passion for the garden and our chefs passion for top quality food, which results in the best produce for our guests.
