Hand Crafted Heaven
The attention to detail leaves each finished room with a sense of its own personality and flair, meaning every lodger has a unique experience of the venue. The bathrooms are stocked with premium, The Homemade Soap Company toiletries and the property is littered with Nespresso machines so that guests can take a break during their stay to sit back and smell the coffee.
Our 17th century ballroom at Cloughjordan House is the main space for most of the events we host here. The room centres around a large, open fireplace and comes complete with a chandelier and festoon lighting. It is the perfect space for a ceremony, coming to life in the evening for dancing and theatrics. It can be transformed for a range of functions including conferences, presentations and meetings.
Marquee: Double doors from the ballroom open out onto this contemporary, beautifully lined marquee. The room overlooks the lawns and wooded area, creating a charming atmosphere to host your guests for dinner. The handmade wooden bar in the marquee carries through the authentic theme to this space, serving craft beer; Bo Bristle.
The House itself is a truly relaxing and homely venue. Built in the early 1600’s, the barley twist staircase is a rare historical feature from this era. Visitors get a sense of real belonging with unrestricted use of the main house, two luxurious sitting rooms and four large, stylish ensuite bedrooms.
Cloughjordan House has been home to a variety of production companies since it’s renovation over the past number of years. Our 8 acres of land, 400 year old country house and pristine Cookery School make for a fabulous filming location. We have the ability to sleep up to 70 + guests and so can have all of the crew stay on-site to be fully immersed in their work and hit the ground running at any time of the day. Cloughjordan House is a private venue which means exclusivity to the property, reducing greatly the amount of potential interruptions. We recently welcomed RTÉ’s Taste of Success, see what they had to say. Link to testimonial
The eight acres surrounding Cloughjordan House are wonderful grounds to get inspired in, calm your nerves or to explore. Our guests are encouraged to take time out to enjoy the fresh country setting.
Fire pit and BBQ room
Our Argentinian ‘Asado’ comes to life in the evening time or on the day after a wedding. It is a laid-back covered BBQ area where you can experience a festive, party atmosphere from start to finish. The fire-pits encourage guests to come together as one to share food, laughter, drink and music and is the perfect way to integrate new families, friends or colleagues.
