Part-time Book Keeper

We are currently looking for a part time book keeper to join our team here at Cloughjordan House. Working very closely with the Managing Director you will be responsible for the day to day running of accounts functions. 

The ideal candidate should have experience in:

  • Sage Accounting Software
  • Thesaurus Payroll Software
  • Bringing books to trial balance stage
  • Preparation and Processing Vat returns
  • Debtor and Creditor Reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monthly Management Reports

Requirements would be:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work on own initiative without direction
  • Must be extremely organised and able to prioritise
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and positive attitude
  • Strong MS Office skills

Chef De Partie

Due to continued expansion of the business we have a very exciting full time seasonal role for an experienced Chef De Partie.  An opportunity to work in the cookery school is also provided adding diversity to your role.

Job Description:

  • Experienced Chef De Partie required to work alongside a team of chefs in our busy wedding venue.
  • Production of the wedding food, breakfast, group meals and BBQ over a wood fire.
  • Coordinate with our full-time gardener who produces all the vegetables, fruits and ornamentals.
  • Teaching group cookery courses at the Cloughjordan House Cookery School.
  • Assist in menu costing to ensure maximum profit
  • Manage food stocks and stock taking
  • Ensure all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed
  • Liaise with the management and FOH team regarding dietary requirements, special requests, VIP’s etc.

 Experience: 

  • A passion for exceptional food and the ability to work well within a team environment
  • A strong culinary background with banqueting/ event experience
  • Experience in meeting financial targets, budgeting, cost control and maximising would be an advantage
  • This role will suit an experienced chef with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar banqueting/catering/event environment
