Receptionist/ Administration – Permanent/ Part-time Position

Job Description:

  • Reception duties – greeting guests, check in and check out

  • General office and admin duties - answering the phone/ email enquiries

  • Maintaining a high-level of standards in the reception area

  • Assist and support the Wedding & Events Coordinator

  • Assist with group bookings and enquiries

  • Provide support with social media and marketing

Ideal Candidate:   

  • Ideally someone with a keen interest/ previous experience in the hospitality industry. 

  • Very good presentation, polite and courteous at all times

  • Professional phone manner

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • Knowledge of social media and marketing

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Fluent in English

  • Must be available for weekend work

Kitchen Porter - Part time with a view to full time seasonal

Hard working individual with attention to detail required for a full time seasonal role at Cloughjordan House.

Job Description:  

  • Carrying out basic cleaning tasks in a busy events kitchen

  • Collecting and washing up pots and pans

  • Cleaning crockery and cutlery and ensuring food preparation sites are clean are ready

  • Unloading equipment and food from deliveries

  • Ensuring the storeroom remains organised

  • Making sure work surfaces, floors and walls are always clean and sanitised

  • Must be available for weekend work

Chef De Partie - Part time

Due to continued expansion of the business we have a very exciting full time seasonal role for an experienced Chef De Partie.  An opportunity to work in the cookery school is also provided adding diversity to your role.

Job Description:

  • Experienced Chef De Partie required to work alongside a team of chefs in our busy wedding venue.

  • Production of the wedding food, breakfast, group meals and BBQ over a wood fire.

  • Coordinate with our full-time gardener who produces all the vegetables, fruits and ornamentals.

  • Teaching group cookery courses at the Cloughjordan House Cookery School.

  • Assist in menu costing to ensure maximum profit

  • Manage food stocks and stock taking

  • Ensure all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed

  • Liaise with the management and FOH team regarding dietary requirements, special requests, VIP’s etc.

 Experience: 

  • A passion for exceptional food and the ability to work well within a team environment

  • A strong culinary background with banqueting/ event experience

  • Experience in meeting financial targets, budgeting, cost control and maximising would be an advantage

  • This role will suit an experienced chef with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar banqueting/catering/event environment

Wait Staff - Part time

Wait staff wanted to join our energetic, innovative and fun team here at Cloughjordan House. 

Must:

  • Have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role. 

  • Be able to carry three to four plates at any one time.

  • Have the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Be enthusiastic and friendly with a can-do attitude.

  • Work well within a team environment, while working efficiently.

  • Be able to work flexible hours. 

  • Excellent attention to detail.
